UNIVERSAL POLYSTYRENE

DESCRIPTION:

UNIVERSAL POLISTIREN is a cement-based adhesive designed for bonding expanded and extruded polystyrene boards. The product provides excellent adhesion and is ideal for thermal insulation systems.

APPLICATIONS:

• Bonding expanded polystyrene (EPS) boards
• Bonding extruded polystyrene (XPS) boards
• Creating reinforced base coat layer
• Thermal insulation systems for facades
• Interior and exterior applications

CHARACTERISTICS:

• Excellent adhesion to substrate and polystyrene
• Weather resistance
• Vapor permeability
• Good workability
• Frost resistance
• Extended working time

APPLICATION METHOD:

1. Surface preparation:

   • Surface must be clean and stable
   • Remove loose parts
   • Check substrate flatness

2. Preparation:

   • Mix with 5.5-6 L water per 25 kg material
   • Mix mechanically until homogeneous
   • Let rest for 5-10 minutes
   • Mix again before use

3. Application:

   • Perimeter-spot method for board bonding
   • Continuous application for base coat
   • Working temperature: +5°C to +30°C
   • Avoid direct sunlight exposure

CONSUMPTION:

• Bonding: 4-5 kg/m²
• Base coat: 3-4 kg/m²

WORKING TIME:

• Application time: ~2 hours
• Adjustment time: ~15 minutes

STORAGE:

12 months in original packaging in dry spaces.
